So, I admit that I am a Truvia fiend. I use it pretty much every day in coffee, tea, and lemon water. I use it ruthlessly because it’s all natural and has zero calories.
Although today I remembered that it does have 3g of carbs per packet. Now, that doesn’t seem like a significant amount, but when I sat down and thought about it I realized that I’ve probably consumed about ten packets of Truvia total today. That’s 30 total grams of carbs today that I’ve drank. Sure that’s nowhere near as bad as if I’d be using sugar, but it just kinda shocked me how much it added up.
Does this concern anybody else? Do you ever worry about the “insignificant” calories or carbs in things like chewing gum or Truvia that add up?
